Donations statement

Trans Harm Reduction is a grassroots trans community group funded entirely through donations. These donations enable us to continue our core activities and support people in managing self-medicating risks.

We use the money provided through donations for the following purposes:

First, we operate a trans healthcare fund. This fund covers healthcare costs for individuals self-medicating, such as GP visits, obtaining blood tests and buying injection supplies.

We provide free injecting supplies directly to anyone self-medicating in Ireland and Scotland. Donations cover the cost of buying these supplies.

We also use donations to pay for testing HRT sources commonly used by trans people who are self-medicating. Testing HRT costs approximately €300 per sample. It is a valuable harm reduction measure which will allow us to identify unsafe sources.
